"Bach & Beyond is a lively celebration of Baroque music, happening in early June each year. Spirited performances of some of the greatest music ever written take place in an acoustically-ideal Victorian setting. Treat yourself to the lighthearted atmosphere that has distinguished the Festival since its beginning in 1996. Top-flight performances by Baroque specialists will leave you applauding for more! Though the musical genius of Johann Sebastian Bach is the foundation of the Festival, each year [the festival] include[s] other great composers whose works reflect Bach's inspirational influence."—Description by festival

"Welcome to our 2009/2010 Season. At the heart of J.S. Bach's output are the Cantatas. Roughly 200 of them survive. It is not entirely known how many of them have been lost. It is my vision for the Bach Festival to bring the message of this powerful music into the communities of our city. —Matt Glandorf - Artistic Director"—Description by festival

"In 1978, the Association held it’s first Indoor Bluegrass Festival at the Holiday Inn, Hannibal, Missouri in February. Since that time the February Festival has continued and four years later, the Association started a Fiddle Contest in November, which later expanded into the Land of Mark Twain Bluegrass Festival. Both festivals continued for many years at the Hannibal Inn until very suddenly the hotel was closed. The 27th Land of Mark Twain BGF was held in Hannibal in November 2008 as was the 31st Winter BGF. It was then decided to move both festivals to a new site and Quincy IL was chosen. The new Holiday Inn is now the new home for TSBA in November 2009 and February 2010. Hopefully it will turn into another great venue that everyone will enjoy for years to come."—Description by festival

"Berg and His World: With its exploration of the work and life of Alban Berg (1885–1935), the Bard Music Festival aims to contribute to debates surrounding modernity by widening the view to take in the full spectrum of musical innovation in the first decades of the 20th century.  The exploration begins in Vienna, but will extend far beyond by considering the notable success of Berg’s music in Germany, Belgium, Italy, the Soviet Union, England, and the United States. Berg's work offers a compelling synthesis of the various and apparently contradictory sides of the Viennese musical tradition."—Description by festival
