"This world-class Festival, now in its eighth year, brings music at its most exciting---up close and personal---to the charming seaside community of Laguna Beach. The Festival is a project of Laguna Beach Live! and the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. In 2010, through workshops, seminars and performances, we explore the impact of music in film. The unique centerpiece of the Festival is new, commissioned music for the exclusively edited version of the “The Living Sea” by Greg MacGillivray, a two-time Academy-award nominated American IMAX director and cinematographer."—Description by festival

Status: Defunct The 2009 festival was canceled and there are no known plans to revive the event.

Florida's first-in-the-season mega rock fest moves to Miami's downtown Bicentennial Park for its seventh running, after a one-year experiment in the Everglades that was marred by logistical problems and five earlier shows in suburban Sunrise. The festival's music lineup is comparable to events like Coachella and Lollapalooza, with a mix of big-name and up-and-coming acts in alternative rock, jam rock, and related categories.
