"The Madeleine Festival of the Arts and Humanities was formally instituted in 1988 by then cathedral rector Msgr. M. Francis Mannion. A wide variety of musical, dance, visual arts and humanities events comprise the festival, normally beginning the Sunday after Easter and running for seven consecutive Sunday evenings at 8 PM.
