"Paid Dues is a new urban event presented by Murs 3:16 in association with Guerilla Union. There's a vibrant rap scene with advanced lyricism, stinging political commentary and quality DJ performances that continues to flourish in a seemingly parallel universe, largely shunned by the mainstream media."—Description by festival

"We will not be producing a Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival in 2010. George will focus more on his own band - the MMB's, and Jody on her book & seminar project. We hope to continue the event newsletter and to produce occasional intimate concerts for professional touring musicians. Who knows what 2011 may bring.....!"

"Formerly known as the North Fork Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival in Hotchkiss, Colorado, the festival has a new name and location for 2009. Right on the banks of the Colorado River in the west side of Riverbend Park. Festival features on-site camping, jam sessions and kids activities. Local wines, micro-brew, food and local artisans. Workshops for guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, vocals, songwriting. Artisan demonstrations for adults and children."—Description by festival

"Twice a year we organize educational workshops that provide technical and cultural experiences. The Paralounge believes a community that learns together, thrives together. Each new rhythm introduced at these gatherings is brought back to the community drum circles and shared with that region. The performances entertain and educate. Most of the ensembles are playing traditional music indigenous to that culture. So the rhythms are from around the world, and so are many of the performers. This enhances the drum circle community by passing on cultural understanding and tradition."—Description by festival
